Demon is possibly the only true 3D graffiti artist in Belgrade since 1998. From the very beginning he was fascinated by this graffiti form and for two decades he has been researching the nuances of style and upgrading his technique.
In 1997 Demon visited Budapest and was immediately impressed by the variety of styles and by massive productivity of their graffiti writers. Already next year he started doing graffiti in Zemun, area of Belgrade, where there were several active graffiti writers at that time, but non of them did 3D graffiti. It was relatively safe and easy to do graffiti in Zemun so from the very beginning he was very active and these conditions helped him develop quite elaborate style. First crew????
By 2001 when this piece was made he already had unmatched technique in Belgrade and style that was immediately recognizable. All of his artworks were, at the time when it was not that easy to make multicolored piece, extremely colorful with perfectionist approach towards perspective, shades and matching color pallet.
Since the second half of 1999 he has been working more often with Lortek and became more liberal when it came to the locations he was doing his graffiti at. And since his elaborate artworks could not be done quickly he started developing relatively simple throw ups he used in the city center. Still until 2002 he worked on his style and technique, and his attitude towards graffiti became one of the absolute dedication.
