In Piros|By Ljiljana Radošević|2 Minutes

This piece has almost carnivalesque properties. Explosion of forms and colors draws ones attention to both details and to the bigger picture. It is as supreme exhibit of Piros’ mastery in execution and richness of ideas.

Here we can see a person hanging from the improvised holders that emit bubbles. As in other artworks by Piros a whole scene is slightly obscured by the multitude of details and fluidity of forms that blend with one another. If at the beginning of his career he found inspiration in calligraphy and graffiti masters, at later stages of his development he turned to the fine art. After finishing his studies in Belgrade he went on an adventure and within one year he had a chance of visiting more than 30 museums and galleries of contemporary art. That obviously took his already elaborate style to another level. We can easily discern that surrealism, especially Dali’s melting objects, influenced him heavily. One of the motives he employs in this piece, but that are commune to most of his large pieces since 2016, is the black and white creature presented in such a way that it looks as if in 3D. This tells us about other influence he draws on heavily and that is digital art. Since 2012 he has been working an a firm that produces video games and applications. Obviously his long term involvement in this artistic niche has provided him with the particular way of designing objects in space.
